In the 1930s, a young Polish nun named Sister Faustina Kowalska received a series of visions from Jesus Christ. In them, He revealed His boundless mercy and asked that an image be painted with the words: "Jesus, I trust in You." He promised that whoever venerated this image would not perish.

The message was simple but profound: no matter how far we've strayed, no matter how heavy our sins, God's mercy is greater. The Divine Mercy chaplet, the image of Divine Mercy, and the feast day—Divine Mercy Sunday (the Second Sunday of Easter)—have since spread throughout the world, offering hope to countless souls.
