Showing Up: Why I'll Be Selling Catholic Apparel at Spring by the Sea This Saturday

And what it means to wear your faith out loud

There's something sacred about showing up.

This Saturday, I'll be at the Spring by the Sea popup market in Ventura, CA — tables set up, shirts folded, and heart wide open. It's one of my favorite things to do: step out from behind the screen and actually be present with people who might be searching for the same things I am.

Rescue Story started because I believe clothing can carry a message. Not just a logo or a design — but a witness. And that word matters to me deeply.

What It Means to Witness

In the Catholic tradition, a witness isn't just someone who watches. A witness is someone who testifies — who says, with their life, "I have seen something true, and I can't stay quiet about it."

That's why I started this brand. I'm a witness. Every shirt I design, every story I tell, every market I show up to — it's my way of saying: faith is worth living out loud.

But here's the thing about Rescue Story apparel: when you wear it, you become a witness too.

You don't have to say a word (unless you want to!). The shirt does the talking. It opens doors. It starts conversations. It tells the person across from you that there's something worth believing in—Someone worth being rescued by.
